The Masked Engineer (for those of us old enough to remember The Lone Ranger) offers his perspective on the government's lack of response to the need for a system that would serve as a backup of the GNSS on which we depend more heavily with each passing day. Over the last 10 years, various studies have confirmed the need for an alternative Position, Navigation, & Timing (PNT) system, but very little has been done about it.
